GB/T 37283 Service Robot EMC Immunity Requirements

GB/T 37283-2019 is the Chinese national standard titled Service robot machine—Electromagnetic compatibility—Generic standards—Immunity requirements and limits. The National Standard Information Public Service Platform identifies it as an electromagnetic compatibility standard for service robots. It is not a civil drone battery standard and should not be presented as a standalone battery certification.

Why EMC immunity matters to a robot battery system

A service robot depends on coordinated operation between its battery, battery management system, charger, motor drives, sensors, controllers and communication networks. Electromagnetic disturbances can affect measurements, communications or control functions if interfaces and protection measures are not designed for the intended environment. Battery-system engineering should therefore consider conducted and radiated coupling paths, cable routing, grounding, shielding, filtering and communication robustness.

The battery management system is one part of the complete robot. Voltage and current sensing, temperature inputs, contactor or MOSFET control, CAN or other data links, charger communication and fault outputs may all be relevant to system behavior during immunity testing. The final test configuration should represent the production design, including cable lengths, connectors, enclosure, grounding arrangement, operating mode, battery state and connected equipment.

Planning representative verification

Project teams should first define the applicable product scope and test plan with the responsible manufacturer and qualified laboratory. Useful preparation information includes the robot's intended environment, safety-related functions, operating and charging modes, rated voltage, normal and peak current, drive and charger interfaces, communications, cable layout and expected behavior during and after a disturbance.

Pre-compliance work can help identify avoidable integration issues before formal system testing. Reviews may cover transient protection, filtering, connector and harness design, separation between power and signal circuits, BMS communication recovery, diagnostic behavior and post-test inspection. Passing a component-level check does not automatically demonstrate conformity of the complete robot.

Battery engineering support for service robots

YC Batteries can support requirement definition, pack architecture, BMS and communication integration, connector and harness coordination, prototype builds and application-focused verification. To assess a service robot battery project, provide the load profile, voltage range, current demand, mechanical envelope, operating temperature, charging concept, communication protocol, cable information and expected fault response. Applicable standards and conformity routes should be confirmed for the complete product and target market.
